The ScreedPro™ Q‑Therm UFH range combines high-density ScreedPro™ dry screed panels with pre-routed XPS insulation and a choice of acoustic solutions. Designed to meet a variety of project requirements, the range comprises three distinct systems—from low-profile installations to raised-floor configurations that provide a practical service void.
Each option delivers a tailored technical solution while retaining the strength, thermal efficiency and fast installation benefits of precision-cut ScreedPro™ boards. Once installed, most final floor finishes can be applied directly to the ScreedPro™ surface after just 24 hours.

Q-Therm 1
Acoustic layer
MCW Impact R5: A 5mm recycled-rubber acoustic underlay designed to significantly reduce impact sound transmission between floors.
Thermal and UFH layer
25mm XPS 300FF: A high-compressive-strength, 300 kPa insulation board, pre-routed to accommodate either 12mm or 16mm UFH pipework. Its foil-facing helps promote efficient upward heat distribution.
Conductive layer
18mm ScreedPro dry screedboard: A high-density board offering excellent thermal conductivity, enabling rapid heat transfer to the finished floor with minimal thermal resistance.
- For projects requiring an increased build-up height, ScreedPro dry screed panels are also available in 25mm, 28mm and 30mm thicknesses.
Raised acoustic floor
Q-Therm 2
Q‑Therm 2 is our high-performance UFH solution, integrated with an acoustic cradle-and-batten system. Engineered to reduce impact and airborne sound transmission, it also creates a practical underfloor void for routing building services.
Acoustic and support layer
An adjustable acoustic cradle-and-batten system that helps reduce sound transmission while allowing the floor height to be raised and precisely levelled. The resulting void provides valuable space for pipes, cables and other services.
Thermal and UFH layer
A specially designed UFH support bracket carries the XPS insulation securely between the battens. The XPS is pre-routed for UFH pipework and positioned flush with the battens, minimising the overall system build-up.
Conductive layer
An 18mm ScreedPro dry screedboard sits directly over the batten and XPS system, creating a strong, high-density floor surface with excellent thermal conductivity.
- For projects requiring an increased build-up height, ScreedPro dry screed panels are also available in 25mm, 28mm and 30mm thicknesses.
Enhanced heat spread
Q-Therm 3
Q‑Therm 3 builds upon the Q‑Therm 2 framework by incorporating an enhanced heat-distribution system for increased thermal efficiency. Formed aluminium spreader plates replace the standard foil-facing, helping distribute heat more evenly across the floor while retaining the system’s acoustic, levelling and service-routing benefits.

Thermal and UFH layer

An 18mm ScreedPro dry screedboard sits directly over the batten and XPS system, creating a strong, high-density floor surface with excellent thermal conductivity.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 18mm ScreedPro boards with the precision cut T&G allow for most floor finishes to be laid directly on top of the Q-Therm system just 24hours after installing.
The load-spreading floor uses 18mm tongue-and-groove ScreedPro boards rather than a traditional poured screed, so there is no screed curing period within the floor installation.
Q-Therm 1 is the compact direct-to-slab option. Q-Therm 2 introduces an acoustic cradle-and-batten platform with space below the floor. Q-Therm 3 builds on that raised arrangement with aluminium heat spreader plates.
Q-Therm 2 and 3 create a raised service zone beneath the batten-supported floor. Service routes must be coordinated so they do not compromise the acoustic support points or system build-up.
