The comprehensive refurbishment of Centre Point, a 36-storey Grade-II listed tower, stands as a landmark conversion, transforming former commercial office space into 82 luxury apartments and high-end penthouses. Throughout this project, architectural planning prioritised the resident experience, centralising service corridors to maximise the living areas and capitalise on the panoramic London skyline.
To satisfy stringent acoustic and thermal requirements, MCW delivered an integrated flooring solution spanning approximately 12,700m2. The system incorporates MCW ScreedPro dry screed boards, chosen for their exceptional thermal conductivity and monolithic stability when fitted over underfloor heating trays. To robustly address impact sound transmission, MCW Impact R5 was utilised as a high-performance impact reduction mat, providing superior acoustic isolation between residences.
This combination of MCW ScreedPro boards and the underfloor heating infrastructure secures optimal energy efficiency, whilst maintaining the structural integrity and acoustic standards essential for this high-rise development.
